Rustic Framing Idea for Diamond Painting
We’re getting creative with our framing ideas around here! With a plethora of wooden signs, plaques and mini pallets readily available, we’re auditioning them all as options for displaying finished Diamond Dotz diamond painting canvases. They’re so easy to use! And they lend a rustic, farmhouse look to your finished diamond paintings. See how!
Gather your supplies:
- Your finished diamond painting
- Dotz Stick brush-on adhesive
- Paint brush
- Scissors
- Wooden mini pallet, sign, or plaque
For this project, we are using A Walk Down Autumn Lane, by popular artist Thomas Kinkade. A Walk Down Autumn Lane is a full-drill design and includes 25,000 Dotz to complete.
We love it because it speaks to the season and will look simply fabulous when accessorized with other seasonal decorations.
Trim the edges of your diamond painting canvas using a pair of scissors. You’ll want to trim off the color key, and any other printed information like the name of the design, the Diamond Dotz logo, etc.
Turn your diamond painting canvas over and squirt some of the Dotz Stick brush-on adhesive onto the back side of the canvas. Don’t apply too much.
Use the paint brush to brush the Dotz Stick onto the canvas using even brush strokes. The Dotz Stick adhesive should cover the back of the canvas in a consistent manner.
Let the Dotz Stick dry until it is slightly tacky to the touch.
Position it as desired on the wooden mini pallet or plaque, and smooth it in place with your hands.
That’s it – it’s ready to display. If you’re a Thomas Kinkade fan, be sure to check out all of the Thomas Kinkade diamond painting interpretations in our collection. Make a couple and display them together – the more the merrier, right?
