MAKE A SPARKLING T-SHIRT WITH DIAMOND DOTZ FREESTYLE

T-shirts are a wardrobe staple – most of us have stacks of them, in fact. Here’s a cool idea for taking that basic T-shirt and giving it a whole bunch of sparkle: amp it up with Diamond Dotz Freestyle.

With a few key supplies and the colorful Diamond Dotz gems of your choice, you can make fun, fashionable Ts that nobody has but YOU!

DIAMOND DOTZ FREESTYLE: SPARKLING WEARABLES

Before we dig into the specifics of making a T-shirt, check out the full range of Diamond Dotz Freestyle products and in particular, the color palette of 400+ gem colors.

In brief, the process for making a T-shirt, and most other wearables like shoes, bracelets and tops is the same:

Pick your Dotz colors
Apply the Dotz Stick brush-on adhesive
Apply the Diamond Dotz gems
Seal the Dotz with Dotz Guard
Wear it!

LET’S MAKE THAT T-SHIRT

One detail that makes a T-shirt DIY unique is that you’ll want to use Dotz Protective Film in between the layers of the T-shirt to prevent the Dotz Stick from seeping through the shirt when you apply it.

After you insert the Dotz Protective Film between the layers, apply the Dotz Stick brush-on adhesive following the basic instructions.

TIP: Remember you only need to apply the Dotz Stick to the areas you will then cover with Diamond Dotz gems.

Note that we are adding Dotz Stick to the flower petals on this particular T-shirt, because that’s where we want the sparkle to be.

APPLY DOTZ WITH STYLUS

Once the Dotz Stick is tacky to the touch, it’s time to apply the Dotz. There is no grid – you’re just dotting on top of the tacky areas where you applied the Dotz Stick.

This is where the name Freestyle comes from – because you are free to dot as you like, using the colors of your choice!

GET CREATIVE WITH DOTZ COLORS

Remember there are 400+ Dotz colors in our Freestyle collection! Dot some, and then add some more if you like. Simply repeat the process of applying Dotz Stick and dotting until you’ve got as much sparkle as you can handle.

PROTECT WITH DOTZ GUARD

When you’re done dotting, apply the Dotz Guard to the sparkling areas of your T-shirt. The Guard removes any stickiness where the Stick was applied so that lint, etc., does not stick to your T-shirt.
